I was traveling down in New Port Richey today and found this awesome little park at the end of Green Key. It had sandy beaches, pavilions, picnic tables along with a playground for the kids and BBQ grills for those hot summer afternoons.
I setup my hammock and relaxed for a few hours between two palm trees right by the water. I also had some time to fly my drone and capture some photos and a short fun little video. Enjoy!
A few months ago we posted a video showcasing the Grand Opening of the newly redesigned Hunter Springs Park. If you missed it you can watch it by clicking here.
About a month after the grand re-opening it was decided that the kayak launch area still needed some adjustments to allow paddlers a safe and easier beach area to launch their kayaks, canoes or paddleboards. Just the kayak launch was closed and redesigned with no set date for its re-opening.
This week the area that was once dug out was filled back in to make a much larger beach area. It gives paddlers a perfect spot to unload from their vehicles with lots of room to prepare their paddle craft to get out and explore out beautiful waters.

Our little town of Crystal River is world famous for our Manatees and beautiful waters. What if your not so comfortable in the water? How else can you experience our beautiful town while staying dry and having fun in the process?
This week I was able to connect up with Broderick Jenkins, owner of Crystal River Segway Tours, for some fun in the sun and a unique tour of the one and only Crystal River.
Having family down from up North in Vermont I wanted to show them a good time so I brought them along. We meet up with Broderick, signed the appropriate waivers and started our instruction. Broderick started slow, showing us how to control the Segway long before actually stepped foot onto it. After some quick instruction he had us cruise around the parking lot to get more comfortable on the 2 wheeled scooter. After that we were good to go, following him all around town including several local parks with some beautiful view of the water.

The cold temps the past few days have really started to bring in the Manatees. Here, they enjoy the warm 72˚ spring waters outside Three Sisters Springs.
t’s November 15th 2016 and today is the start of Manatee season. The start of Manatee season means all of the sanctuaries are now closed to all swimmers, boaters and paddle craft. We’re excited to start seeing more and more Manatees coming into Crystal River and our beautiful Kings Bay.
Also today, the Three Sisters Springs are open and the bank restoration project is finished. The springs look different than they did before but with the new rocks lining the edges, it will protects the springs for many many years in the future.

Hello all,
It’s a new season down here in Florida and I’m excited to be living in this beautiful area again this winter. My name is Jeremiah Johnson (JJ) and I grew up near Stowe Vermont and after 30 cold winter seasons up North I decided to travel South to Florida for the winters. Some might call me a “snowbird” but I’d like to think of my migration South as a way or branching out and exploring new areas while making a living enjoying the outdoors and the locals.
I’ve been taking photographs for over 10 years where I started shooting landscapes and my friends at parties. I’ve grown in my knowledge of photography and started shooting weddings, events and profession portraits 6 years ago. I love capturing a persons personality in my photographs and nothing makes me happier than seeing a connection between people.
